The University of Sunderland in Hong Kong recently received numerous enquiries regarding claims that our qualifications could be completed in a shorter than the advertised period, and that they are recognised by the World Education Service (WES) for immigration to Canada without further evaluation. The University of Sunderland in Hong Kong would like to make a statement of clarification.
The University of Sunderland in Hong Kong is a wholly-owned branch campus of University of Sunderland, UK. All programmes and qualifications offered at the University of Sunderland in Hong Kong are registered under the Hong Kong’s Non-local Higher and Professional Education (Regulation) Ordinance (Cap. 493) and are comparable to that of the home programmes and qualifications in the UK.
University of Sunderland qualifications gained anywhere in the world are internationally recognised and are mapped onto the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) of England and European Qualifications Framework (EQF).
Each University of Sunderland programme leading to a qualification award will have its specified study duration as registered with the Hong Kong’s Non-local Course Registry. To gain a University of Sunderland qualification award, students are required to meet specific entrance requirements and will have to fulfil all assessments to successfully gain the qualification’s award.
The University of Sunderland in Hong Kong would like to emphasise that it is a matter of discretion for individual employers and organisations (including WES and/or any consular authority) to recognise any qualification to which our programmes may lead.
The University of Sunderland in Hong Kong is not authorised or qualified to provide any advice in applications for emigrating from Hong Kong.

新特蘭大學香港分校最近收到多宗查詢，指學生可於比官方宣傳廣告陳述之更短時間內完成本校課程，並保證課程獲 World Education Service (WES) 認可，無需進一步評估即可移民加拿大。新特蘭大學香港分校作出以下聲明。
新特蘭大學香港分校是英國新特蘭大學全資擁有的首間海外分校。新特蘭大學香港分校提供的所有課程和證書相等於英國課程和同等學術資格，並根據香港的《非本地高等及專業教育（規管）條例》（第 493 章）註冊。
英國新特蘭大學的課程及學術資格得到國際認可，並對應歐盟國家資歷架構 (EQF) 及英國資歷架構 (RQF) 的資歷級別。
新特蘭大學每個獲得資格證書的課程均有其指定的學習期限，並在香港的非本地課程註冊處註冊。要獲得新特蘭大學學術資格，學生必須符合大學的入學要求，並且必須完成所有功課評核或考試，得以完成修讀課程及獲得其學術資格。
新特蘭大學香港分校重申，個別僱主和組織（包括 WES 和/或任何領事機構）概可自行決定是否承認本校課程及學術資格。 新特蘭大學香港分校並不會為學生遞交從香港移民的申請，亦不會進行代辦移民申請服務。
